Frequently Asked Question
Do you accept insurance?
Yes, I accept most commercial insurance plans within Virginia and Maine. However, insurance plans vary in terms of what they cover, so I recommend that you contact your insurance company before our initial appointment to determine if I am in network, as well as your out-of-pocket costs for each session.
Do you accept Medicaid and Medicare?
I do NOT accept Medicaid, though I do have an option for Medicare recipients.
What is the out-of-pocket cost (without insurance) for an appointment?
$150
What are your hours?
I offer appointments on Thursdays, from 8 am to 6 pm EST. I do offer flexibility for those committed to working with me who cannot meet during this time frame.
What states do you work in?
I work in Virginia and Maine.
Do you do in-person sessions?
No, I only offer telehealth.
What if I live in Virginia or Maine but am traveling at the time of the appointment or for
a period of time?
Contact me, and we will figure out a solution so you can continue accessing your mental health care.
Do you charge for no-shows and late cancellations?
I charge for late cancellations (within 48 hours of your scheduled appointment) if you cancel without personally contacting me to reschedule the appointment. For no shows, you are subject to a charge of the full cost of the appointment, which is $150.
What is your cancellation policy?
Anyone who cancels an appointment without reaching out to me to reschedule or repeatedly cancels within 48 hours of their scheduled appointments are subject to discharge from my practice. I do my best to accommodate extenuating circumstances.
